The Drama Club at St. Lawrence School is a vibrant community of aspiring actors, directors, and theater technicians. Through a variety of productions, including plays, musicals, and improvisational theater, students develop their acting skills, confidence, and creativity. We believe that drama is a powerful tool for personal development and creative expression. Our drama program offers a wide range of opportunities for students to explore their talents and passions.
Modern theater settings : Provides the perfect settings for a variety of productions, from classic plays to contemporary dramas. Students have the chance to participate in acting, directing, stage design, and technical theater.
Experienced drama teachers: Guide students through the entire production process, from script analysis to performance. They help students develop essential skills such as improvisation, voice projection, and character development.
Recent productions: Have included adaptations of classic works, original plays written by students, and performances inspired by Ugandan culture and history. These productions provide students with the opportunity to showcase their talents and collaborate with their peers.
In addition to stage performances, students can participate in drama workshops, film-making, and scriptwriting. These activities foster creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills.
By participating in our drama program, students gain confidence, self-expression, and a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts.
