At St. Lawrence, we instill in our students a sense of social responsibility and a desire to make a positive impact on the world. Through a variety of charitable initiatives, our students learn the importance of giving back to their community.

One such initiative involves raising funds for organizations supporting refugees in Uganda. Students organize bake sales, sports tournaments, and other creative fundraisers to generate much-needed resources. These events not only raise money but also foster a sense of unity and compassion among the student body.

In addition to fundraising, our students actively participate in volunteer work. They dedicate their time to local charities, community organizations, and social initiatives. These experiences not only benefit the community but also develop valuable skills such as leadership, teamwork, and empathy.

We encourage our students to adopt sustainable practices and make environmentally conscious choices. From participating in tree-planting initiatives to reducing plastic waste, our students are taking steps to create a greener future.

Making a Difference : St. Lawrence School encourages students to engage in meaningful community service through our Voluntary Action program. This initiative provides opportunities for students to give back to the local community and develop a sense of social responsibility. .

Our students have the privilege of volunteering at local primary schools and nurseries, where they can assist with teaching, mentoring, and providing support to young learners. They also volunteer at care homes, offering companionship and assistance to the elderly. Additionally, in collaboration with the St. Lawrence Interact Club, students organize and run activities for young people with disabilities, promoting inclusivity and understanding.
Service and Action: A Cornerstone of Our Curriculum : St. Lawrence is committed to fostering a culture of service and social responsibility. From a young age, our students are encouraged to engage in community service and positively impact on the world around them.

In the lower years, students engage in a variety of community service activities, such as visiting local hospitals, organizing blood donation drives, or volunteering at homeless shelters. These experiences foster a sense of empathy, compassion, and social responsibility.

As students progress to the upper years, they have the opportunity to engage in more advanced service projects. The program component provides a framework for students to undertake meaningful service initiatives. Students can volunteer with local organizations, participate in fundraising campaigns, or initiate their own projects to address social and environmental issues.

By integrating service learning into our curriculum, we aim to empower our students to become active citizens and make a difference in the world.
